Hi! I'm Krys, farmer and shepherdess. In 2018 as a newly single mom of 8, I set out to give my children the chance to experience the beauty and simplicity a country life can provide, and on a tiny wooded hillside with less than an acre to work with, Tiny Acre Homestead was born. We relocated to a bit larger acreage in 2020 on the windswept South Dakota prairie. Dan joined us in 2021 bringing his business acumen , culinary skills and passion for cooking and growing good food. We are excited to share our journey as we grow our family and farm.

Our family is our team base.

We work hard every day to ensure that our animals are well-cared for and that our crops are healthy and abundant. We're proud to be a part of the local farming community and we're always happy to share our knowledge and experience with others. Check the events page for classes, camps, and other opportunities.

At Tiny Acre Homestead Farms,

our motto is

"BETTER INGREDIENTS, FRESH"

From farm to fork, our products begin with building the soil to ensure maximum nutritional value and quality. Chemicals and artificial additives are avoided at all stages, as is unnecessary processing. For examples: Grains, and often spices, are milled fresh. Sugar is raw with the natural minerals, no bleaching. Vitamins and supplements  for our family, land, and livestock, are plant-sourced. Lamb is 100% grass-fed and finished.  Hides are tanned with natural bark tannins.  This is the legacy we want to preserve and share.
